Those of you who are considering purchasing a classic vehicle will be aware there are numerous places that you can source such vehicles with one of those being at a classic car auction. There are many such auctioneers one of whom is called Mathewsons and they are to hold their next auction of classic cars and memorabilia from the 16th to 18th April 2025. Full details of the lots available can be seen on their website but we mention some of them below.
How about a 1928 Renault that has an estimated sale price of £3,000 to £4,000. This is a rather old saloon car that appears from the photos to need a bit of tender loving care inside. Perhaps this is a reflection of the estimated sale price. It has a 1,100cc engine. Apparently, when the car came into the UK it was put in storage for over 40 years.
If you are a fan of the MINI then why not take a look at a 1996 Rover MINI Equinox that comes with an estimated sale price of between £5,000 to £6,000. It has a 1275cc engine and a 5 speed manual gearbox. It has a petrol-fuelled engine. It has 53,650 miles on the clock making this an extremely low mileage vehicle for its age. If you take a look at the images on the auctioneer’s website it appears to be a lovely looking car.
If taking to the road on a warm summer weekend in an open-topped sports car appeals then you may wish to peruse a 1970 Triumph Spitfire that has an estimated price of £4,000 to £5,000. It has a 1298cc engine. It has a mere 56,593 miles on the clock making it a very low mileage vehicle for its age. The images on the auctioneer’s website do present the vehicle very well.
If the above open-topped sports car doesn’t appeal then why not take a look at another one. How about a 1972 MG B that comes with an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £10,000. Its bodywork is in red with a black soft-topped roof. Imagine putting the roof down and taking to the high road on a lovely summer’s evening with the wind passing through your hair.
Those of you who like the Morris Minor may like to peruse a 1960 Morris Minor 1000 that has an estimated sale price of £6,000 to £7,000. It appears to be a very nice looking classic car. It has a soft top. It has 72,500 miles on the clock so is low mileage for its age. It has a 948cc engine.
