If you are considering purchasing a classic car whether it is your first time of doing so or if you are a seasoned classic car enthusiast why not consider taking a look at Mathewsons Classic Car auction that is scheduled to take place online on the 22nd and 23rd August 2026. It is an online auction but you can view vehicles “in the flesh” at the Pickering showroom of the auctioneers on either the 15th, 17th or 18th August 2026. Pickering is located on the North Yorkshire Moors so why not consider taking a few days holiday to enjoy the countryside and also try to get over to the coast and visit places such as Filey.
You can view the lots on the auctioneer’s website but we thought that we would briefly mention just a few to perhaps “wet your appetite”.
If you are a fan of the Morris Minor then why not peruse a 1969 Morris Minor 1000 that comes with an estimated sale price of between £10,000 to £12,000. This is a delightful looking open-topped van that may appeal to a number of people. Its bodywork is in green. It has a 1098cc engine.
If you have a bit more to spend then how about a 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 that has an estimated sale price of between £37,500 to £40,000. It has a 2639cc engine. It looks a lovely looking open-topped sports car that will probably catch the eye of many a passer by.
If you are a fan of Ford cars then why not peruse a 1965 Ford Cortina MK1 Lotus that has an asking price of between £45,000 to £50,000. It has a 1558cc engine. It has a coil spring rear suspension system. It has had a complete bolt and nut rebuild. It has been in the same family ownership for almost 40 years. It is said to be in concourse condition.
If you are an admirer of Porsche then why not glance over a 1971 Porsche 911 RS Carrera Tribute that has an estimated sale price of between £39,000 to £45,000. It has a 2341 cc engine producing 180 BHP. This appears to be a great looking classic sports car.
