You will be pleased to read that classic cars don’t have to cost you hundreds of thousands of pounds to buy. If you take a look at Mathewsons website and specifically at the lots coming up for auction at its Festive Auction on the 10th December 2025 you will find this to be the case. It is an online auction but with viewing from Saturday 6th December 2025 to Tuesday 9th December 2025.
For instance, how about a 1939 Rover P2 10 Coupe with an estimated sale price of between £11,000 to £12,000. It has a 1389cc engine. Apparently, the classic car was restored internally in 2023 with £7,000 being spent on the vehicle. In 2025 it was recommissioned and mechanical work carried out costing in excess of £3,000. Its bodywork is in black and it has green upholstery in leather. It has a sliding steel sunroof.
If you fancy an open-topped classic sports car that will no doubt catch the eye of many a passer-by then why not peruse a 1954 MG TF that has an estimated sale price of between £16,000 to £18,000. It has a 1250cc engine. It is said to have been restored professionally. There are numerous photographs on the auctioneer’s website and you cannot fail to be impressed with the look of the vehicle. The website tells you just how much work has been done on this classic car. It is certainly worth a look at.
Perhaps you might like to take a look at a 1968 Jaguar 3.4/340 saloon classic car. It has an estimated sale price of between £9,000 to £11,000. It is said to have 98,000 miles on the clock that for its age is a low mileage. It has a 3442cc engine. Apparently the interior of the vehicle has not been restored. It is said to be one of a mere 2,630 of these cars built. A list of works carried out on the vehicle over the years can be found on the auctioneer’s website.
Those of you who are fans of Porsche cars might like to glance over a 1986 Porsche 924 Auto with an estimated sale price of between £6,000 to £7,000. It has a 2479cc engine and is said to have done in the region of 67,379 plus mileage to get to the auction. It has an MOT up until the 23rd October 2026.
